Showdown in Little Tokyo (1991)

Role: Yoshida
Starring: Dolph Lundgren, Brandon Lee, Tia Carrere, and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa

Showdown in Little Tokyo is a 1991 American buddy cop-action film starring Dolph Lundgren and Brandon Lee. This was Brandon Lee’s first American film role.

Notes: Wow. This was a funny film in many parts… and a twisted film in many others… quite strange, but hey, you get used to it. (Is that bad?)

Cary did a very good job portraying this villain. Yoshida wasn’t exactly the bad guy that you love to hate. More like, the bad guy that gives you nightmares.

Dolph Lundgren and Brandon Lee are a fun duo to watch. It was actually believable that their martial arts skills were comparable to Yoshida’s, unlike so many films in which the villain is ten times better but somehow loses anyway.

This was Cary’s first time as the movie villain in such a big movie, so he tried to really make this guy as bad as he could. Gotta say… he did a good job. : )

This is a really good action flick and I think Cary did a really good job playing Yoshida. Beginning his career as a villian and making him as bad as he could was awesome, he did an amazing job. yay!
Also it had to be quite an honor to film a movie with Brandon Lee. Yah I so give this movie an A!
